Date: November 1, 2023

A New Jersey State trooper was life-flighted to an area hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a car along the Atlantic City Expressway late Friday. The trooper and another officer were performing a routine traffic stop on the left shoulder of the freeway when one of their patrol cars was struck by another motorist.

The cruiser slammed into the other upon impact, causing it to strike the officer and throw him into the grass median. The New Jersey State Police have not reported details of his condition. The driver responsible for the accident and a front-seat passenger were also transported to an area hospital with injuries.
